350/th350 trouble

    It jumped time a couple months later and when I removed the cover I could see the wear marks where the chain slapped it,this was a 100,000 mile motor that came out of a 65 dollar car and had the noise as soon as it was installed.

    It was the pump, the two tabs that the torque converter shaft slides onto had sheered off so the pump wasn't pumping fluid to the cooler or more importantly, the torque converter, thus no transfer of power to the driveshaft. Glad it was a cheap and relatively easy fix.
