I would just go buy a gasket and see how it matches up. It's hard to tell without the center section.

C6's are great for trucks. I would never run one in a car. They are huge and **** up hspr like nobody's business. A c4 or AOD can be made to handle 1000 hspr.

Can't afford to build a c-4 or aod to hold a cleavland. c-6 is not an expensive build. Just don't know if it will fit at this point

The C6 should fit, many have been used in the 55 and 56 Fords. I have one for my 351C but I'm going to use an AOD instead.

Do you have the correct small pattern C6 that will bolt to the 351C

Just how much power does your Cleveland make?? C4's can be built for cheap.

Yes in stock form they are cheap to. A trans shop told me it would not last if i didn't build it up. I'm on a budget so i'll go with the c-6. 351 is making about 300 but i was told it's the torque that will kill a stock c-4. The guy i bought the motor from was running a stock c-4 and it was on it's way out. To build up a c-4 around here is costly.

The power loss for a C4 is around 28 horsepower, C6 power loss is 55-60 horsepower.

I think it would cost more money to build a C4 than it would to make the extra 25 horsepower with the 351C.

A better carb, intake and a set of headers should yield more than 25 horsepower.

Well motor and trans took all of a saturday morning and it's in. Check out how the manifold goes around the steering box. Used mid 70's f-150 motor mounts for a 351 windsor but have to use blocks. I may change up and use something else. With these all i had to do is open up the bottom stock crossmember hole. It was out by a 1/2 a hole. Modified the stock trans member. Easy.
