The lower sheet metal is different between the cars that had a V8 and cars that came with a Six from 1952-56 this allowed the radiator mounting to be further forward which helps with clearance between fan and radiator, you can see that in this illustration below in the lower right. Read the notes below the pictures here you will want those mounts turned to move your 351W close to the firewall https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/media/albums/289-302-351w-swap-mounts.41498/ If your 351W is a 1970-1980 it will have the "long" water pump and balancer you can gain about 3-4" more clearance by using the 1966-69 289 "short" water pump some early to mid 70's Econolines with 302 & 351's also used the short style pump. 54 fender.png

  6. i have a 351W in my 55. i'm using an early 80's bronco exhaust manifold on the drivers side. it was the slimmest i could find and it barely fits without touching the steering box. the p***enger side is good

I've got an 88 351w from an F150, kept the serpentine set up, it clears the stock radiator, in the V-8 location, but I had to switch to an electric pusher fan. If I had to do it again, I would switch to the mustang radiator, and move it further forward and down. there are some excellent threads on here, and great people with loads of info. don't be afraid to ask, they've all helped me a bunch with my 56 fairlane

Those are the manifolds that I'm using on the '54 Coupe. I posted pictures here awhile back.
