How would I find out if I have the correct balancer or not for my 351W?

The casting number is 5012480 326 and is staped 2000.08
Its not a Ford brand. I got it at CarQuest. How do you tell what the weight is? I weighed it and its 7.426 lbs., but thats the entire weight.

351w were and are only 28oz. balancers. Look up the part number at carquest and make sure it says that it is a 28oz balancer, it will also work on older (pre81)302's.
The only thing that changed on 351w balancers are the # of bolt holes for the pulley. Could have three or four.

I think the spacing may have changed too - pulleys sit farther in/out based on year - only for the 4-bolt ones...tough to remember though - I think I killed those penguins a long time ago! [IMG]

It is a 4 bolt. I thought that the balancers for serpentine drive engine were a different weight than a V-belt.
