I've tried to find any info on my question but to no avail. Does anyone know if there are any technical differences between a 1936 and a 1937 Hudson Terraplane steering box? Years ago I used a 37 Hudson in my '32 with great results.
The steering and front suspension in a '36 vs a '37 is all different - box, the entire front suspension - everything. The '37 uses a different type of front suspension, too, so it is not just the parts themselves, but the overall design and the size. The '37 looks a LOT like a '36 does, but the overall dimensions of the '37 are larger in nearly every respect. I'd have to see the '36 and the '37 boxes side by side to tell you, but they are different. I own a '37, and have an extra '37 box...!
Read it from the book: http://www.flatheadv8.org/rumblest/suspens.pdf This is a chapter of a GREAT online book.
