Anybody remember an old thread that showed a beautiful set of fabricated '36 rear bones, among other things, that were just off the chart. I've been looking for this thread for some time now with no luck. It was part of a build thread and I would love to make another set of patterns. I loaned mine to a fellow a few years ago and they never returned unfortunately.

Post up for any other info I might be able to add to find this thread.

Thanks in advance guys! This is driving me nuts!

  3. Yeah, it was one of his threads. sadly I could not find it listed in his threads

  4. I just bought a pair a couple weeks ago, so I thought I'd do a search myself. Mine are going under a 26T rdstr on an A frame, for a track nose project.

I love that thread and Harvs work is fantastic but...... The one I'm looking for the fellow fabricated the bracketry from .375 CR and wrapped it with .125 stock. He used some of what I recall were '40 front bones sleeved and everything was pretty much polished like Harvs work. The benefit was you could alter dimensions to work with different suspension setups. I had a bunch of pics saved from a few sets I built but lost the pics in a computer fry along with all my old work. This guy had it down to a T! Unfortunately I can't go back to the old clients to template a set as I've lost touch. I'd really like to make one more set for my Vicky to replace the factory hangers I'm using now.

  8. I remember someone make their own ends out of steel, milled not cast.

I may be wrong but weren't the ends on the 36 bones forged?

The cool thing about these hangers is they looked like a factory piece but could be made without the spring hanger and in any size you liked. Since I can't find the thread I'm going to make a set up from memorie and see how close I can get. If I just ad one pic I'm sure they would come back to me.

Possibly the hangers you are talking about were made by Gene Scott. The name of his company escapes me.

Not old PSI's. Way better design. PSI stuff was neat but these were the nuts. I'm fabbing up a pair for my Vick. I'll post pics as soon as they're ready. No way I'll get them as good as the original poster though.

  17. At this point I’m vaguely recalling the thread you’re talking about. That’s a start, but can’t remember who it was.
