I'm new here ao let me introduce my project. I have a 36' Chevy Master Deluce that I picked up last year. This thing is in rough shape ut I knew that going into it it needs alot of work putting it nicely. I am not planning to get this thing in working condition in the near future, right now I am just focusing on the body and ripping out all the body parts that are too far gone and repairing those that can be repaired and making the car into what I want at the same time, meanwhile working on a tight budget. Please feel free to respond with any insight or ideas I am open to new ideas and ways that I can make this better or tricks you have learned in the past. I put up some pics prior to me tearing into it and then pics of where it currently stands. Right now I am currently tearing out the front floor pans and reworking them as well as deciding whether to replace the firewall or not? While at the same time deciding how to reframe the car since the wood that was used is long since gone. Also any tricks you all may have to eat away at the surface rust on the whole car would be helpful right now grinding is winning the battle slowly for me. Please feel free to comment! Hi & welcome. Looks like a nice start & other that all the wood bad and floor pans & the rot on rear fender it does not look bad at all. Everything you need including pans & patch panels is easily avalible from a few suppliers so what you cannot fix you can buy. You did not say where you are located & there are likely members nearby for help, advice and perhaps a parts stash. Keep us posted on progress and any needs you have. Also post photo's as you go. Good luck, Jimmie
It's not to bad on the main body. However the fenders are a different story and I am not sure that they are salvageable but I sure am going to try as I have yet to find replacement fenders for this car. If anyone knows of any places out there that makes them or any other body panels please let me know. I have found firewall and floorpan replacements but that is about it. Also I am located in Junction City, Kansas. Sent from my SM-G930V using Tapatalk
