Is there a good starting point when it comes to alignment of the hood, grill and fenders?

 

I would put the radiator/grill on and move it around to get the hood top to fit the cowl. Then put the fenders on. You may have to shim the radiator up or down to get the hood sides to fit the cab. Move the bottom of the radiator forward or backward to fit the hood sides after the sides fit the cab.
