I have a chance to get my hands on one. I really wanted a 2 door sedan but looking at this one and its really solid, I might be leaning towards the more door. Anyone have pics or opinions on 4 doors? Advice is greatly appreciated. Jose
Look up Scootermcrad. He is building a 4 door Murry less 2 doors. Looks very cool. You should be able to find his build thread... It's older than what your looking at, but it iz an out of the box ride. Jay
Exactly...... but if condition is a greater concern (& it always is for me), I'd take a solid Fordor over a rough Tudor anyday. Give a Fordor the same attention you would a 3wd coupe & you'll not have to make excuses to anyone. Fordors only need be ashamed of when you start trying to hide what they really are...... or don't give them the attention they deserve. ANY '36 Ford is a good-looking car & Fordors are becoming more & more popular. Ford didn't make a Fordor between '32 & '48 that I couldn't get excited about. Talk about good looking, practical fun. Solid paint, a dropped suspension, and a bullet proof drivetrain will make a killer rod that you could really enjoy. Build it & see who your club members want to ride with when it comes time to cruise the strip or head to dinner from the show or hotel. Yeah, I wouldn't pass on a nice Fordor. 'Specially not a '36. Keep us posted. JH
This reminds me. 20 years ago I looked at a low-mile '40 Deluxe Fordor that had belonged to a Vietnam soldier who never came home. 20 years ago I couldn't afford it, it wasn't for sale, & none of that mattered because no one wanted a Fordor anyway. A lot has changed since then..... JH
Lomino, I wouldn't say no to a 4 door '36, but then again its deping on what your chooices are. Can you get the tudor you want, for a reasonable sum of money compared to the fourdoor, then get the tudor that you want instead. / primerkid

I sold a Royal Blue 36 Fordor in Dallas about 30 years ago. Perhaps it might be the same one? If so, the one I had was very rust free. Hardly any surface patina at all and no cancer. I stripped it completely down and a complete re-paint.
it'll never be worth less than it is right now. buy it, clean it up, drop the suspension a bit, drive it a couple of years, and sell it for a profit.
