can anyone tell me the distance from the center bearing cap to end of travel on a C6 ****** slip yoke. Reason for asking is that I am trying to ensure I'll have at least 1" play in the drive shaft. Here is what I am working with, distance from end of ****** housing to rear end yoke is 43.5". I have a drive shaft that is 40.5" inches between bearing caps. I have a 1.5" stick-out of the shaft in the ******. Will a standard slip joint work for me or will I need something all together different.

Dude stick the yoke in all the way ,pull it out one inch and measure center of yoke hole to center of rear axle u joint hole and that's how long the drive shaft needs to be good luck!
