Thank you for an enjoyable thread
The car is looking very 'legit' for the time period you picked

Nice chop man.I like your round door tops.I have seen so many of them chopped with the square tops left alone. I always thought why didn't they take the extra time to make everything flow like you did.The wait to get the car was worth it .You have one real nice Kustom in progress,be proud and thanks for showing us the photos.

  19. Looks Great, Your A Metal Artist. Keep Up The Nice Work. The Best Use I've Seen Of That Grille.

  20. Got a little time in the garage this morning. Roughed in the right side of the hood. A little fine tuning and she'll be ready to weld off. .[IMG]

Way cool thread, this thing is going to be awesome.

  22. Do you fill that whole void with weld? Or do you make filler pcs? Does the back side of the panel look just as purdy?

    Thanks

  23. Thanks. The chop came out as I invisioned it would. After that everything has flowed nicely.
    Thanks.
Thank you. Your compliments greatly appreciated.

  24. Thanks.
I fill the void with weld. Lots and lots of tacks. The back comes out almost as nice. Much better than a lot of little pieces.

    Absolutly stunning!!! A class act.

  27. A picture speaks a thousand words so here is a pic of the right hood under the nose before touching anything.

Here is the left after cleaning up a little.

And a couple of the chop underneath after a light cleanup. Almost as nice as the top.

  28. Thanks a lot. The metalwork seems neverending but i'll be in paint someday.
Thanks. Hopefully people will wonder if she's a restored survivor or a new build.

  29. Thanks for showing "behind the curtian". Ive been trolling the metal meet site in hopes of cleaning up my work and increasing my street cred...... Looking at how others do it is a great help. Thanks for sharing freely.

  30. Somehow, I missed this before! You are doing an incredible job on all the metalwork. I want a 36 badly now, if only I did not have too many projects in the works already. I have been dreaming of a '36 three window, chopped with a '41 Packard grill for years. That Nash unit look nice in there, however! ...and you made a beautiful chin that I would hate to see hidden. Any thoughts on splitting that ribbed bumper?
