Hot Rods 36 Ford grill trim

I have a 36 coupe with a aftermarket grill and hood. Took a lot of work, with some cutting and welding to get everything to line up. The grill has no holes for the trim that surrounds it, the car came with the grill trim that looks new so ***umed it’s aftermarket also. The trim is no where close in fitting around the grill and not even close enough to try to bend. Tried the trim against a stock grill and looks to fit perfectly. Car is about ready for paint. Anyone have a idea on what I might use to make trim for around my grill?
