I have a 60 inch wide axle that I would like to install with 235 x 15 tires. My measuring shows that I will need a special wheel offset about 4 1/2 or more. Is this reasonable if I use a 7 x 15 or 8 x 15 wheel?

Anybody using a 60 inch (wheel face to face) axle in thier 1936?

You are correct on needing a big offset with a 60. A friend has a 33 and runs full wheel covers, so he got S-10 steel wheels to fit his 60" chevy rear.

If you wanted mags or chrome steelies, then the 60 would be a poor choice.

oh, I am using a 60" early Olds rear in a fendered 32. I am using old 16" steelies but widened them one inch on the back sides.
