There's a guy on here trying to figure out how to make 36 bones clear the frame on a deuce. Many years ago a HAMBer solved that problem by blending 46-48 front bones into the forged portion of the 36 bones. The drop down portion of the front bones gave the necessary frame clearance. I give up, I've searched and can't come up with the article. ANYONE?
Found this Quite a few posts on this subject. https://www.google.com/search?q=36+...gcIMC43LjMzLjPIB7oB&sclient=mobile-gws-wiz-hp
One way is to make the bones to axle mounts a little deeper. This moves the bones down and lowers the car.
The Carrillo parts are very nice/top of the line abit you may need a second mortgage to buy them. I used to have a pattern at the laser cutter for something similar that was much cheaper. Laser cutter retired/sold out and away went my patterns. I used them the few times I was building a vintage low rider ch***is.
Wouldn't it just be easier to trim the tubes from the '36 wishbones and use '32-'34 wishbones which mount inboard. If you don't want weld mounts on the bells; '42-'48 wishbones are the right length, bolt up, and work too.
