If I was building a 34 Ford ch***is and I used a straight front spring out of the front of a 38 Ford on the back of my 34 with 35 36 rear wishbones will it throw my wheel center placement on my project off. Am I gonna have to move my bed around to center it up? Thanks

No,your wheels will be in the original location. You will need to straighten out the center of the crossmember for the spring to fit since the 34 spring is curved.

My spring fits in the crossmember now actually!. Was wondering if I put it in without straightening crossmember if it will centered.

Measure it - 112". If you front spring fits now it is probably real close to correct. Rear springs are wider than front springs is why your spring fits. If you were to use a stock 40 rear spring it would not fit.

FYI. I used a '40 front spring with '36 bars under my '34 sedan and was able to leave the curved 'member alone because the "40 front spring perfectly fits in the wider rear 'member. Worked great. This setup should have slightly shorter bars installed above and installed to the main bars in order to take the load off the bar-perch connection.

I also am using a '40 front spring in a stock '32 frame with original rear crossmember designed for a curved spring. If I remember right, The square bolt hole for the spring pack might have to be altered a 1/16" or so, just so it will lock in.
