Does anyone know the backstory on the sectioned 36 roadster in the brizio booth at gnts this year,i thought i saw some history on but not having any luck finding it
I don't know any real history, but it was in Mark Smith's collection for a while. He bought a car from me and mentioned this one when he realized I was a '36 Ford guy. He didn't know much about it either. He later offered to sell it to me, but the price was quite lofty.... Fast forward 7 or 8 years and I was surprised to encounter it while visiting Brizio's. Small world. It is a really neat car, if anyone has the full story, I'd love to hear it. www.ironandsteele.com
That car is channeled, not sectioned. big difference. here is an old for sale ad on it https://cl***iccars.com/listings/vi...roadster-for-sale-in-lynchburg-virginia-24505
With the fenders left stock, the hood sides and grill cut it’s easy to see why someone would jump to the conclusion that it’s been sectioned though. I remember this car for sale looking for damn rough a few years back. I’ll have to see if I can find photos.
Hey guys, note the difference between my picture and the GNRS. My understanding this beauty has been under the hands of the Hot-Rod wizards that work at Brizios, I bet this thing is up and running. Did anyone catch the interior upgrade plus new wheels-n-tire and I bet more.
so they bobbed the fenders, channeled just the body, and sectioned the hood sides and grille' so bobbed, channeled and sectioned....???
Thank you! All the clues pointed that way, it is a '36, Brizio customer, and owner of many former Mark Smith Fords. I have to get to that collection, all the great stuff is there. Bob
