I want to put a 4bbl intake on my 364. I've searched everywhere for a stock one with no luck. I've spoke with edlebrock and offenhauser on the phone and they both told me good luck. Do aftermarket ones exist for a 364 nailhead? Just wondering if anyone has ever intalled an intake on a 364 other than a factory one? STUMPED!
I just sold a stock cast Iron 4 bbl one for $100 and sent it to Florida. They show up every now and than, swap meets, CL, even on E-Bay..................
Because of the hole spacing from head to head, intakes from differant years would not enterchange. 364 were all in their own. You may be able to use a 401-425 intake and long-gate the holes to fit. I have a couple extras and you just pay the shipping. Just a thought. You could also buy a u-build intake kit and make your own 4bbl intake.
You've probably already got this info, but just in case... Check with Russ Martin at Centerville Auto Repair. He has helped me track down some parts for my 364 in the past, and was very knowledgeable. He has 4 barrel intakes listed on his site, so hopefully he has one for a 364. Ive had many aftermarket nailhead intakes that the holes have been oblonged on, ive never actually set them on the motor to check but id get a 401 intake and check it out and see if it comes close. Also, the 4bbl intakes do come around here and there, ive had a few. JEFF
The only single 4 barrel manifold that fits the 364 is for the 364, the 401/425 ports do not match up. There are Offy tri-power and dual quads available. Any Nailhead 6x2 will fit as they are linked with hose and that can be adjusted. There are a few other try-power and/or dual quad intakes that show up for them now and then as well. Did ya' check with the Alliance vendors on here? There's a salvage yard in texas that is listed on the "banner" page I guess you would call it, before you click into The H.A.M.B. forum. Owens Salvage, is it?
They do show up I'v sold 4 over the last 3 years. I will look thru my stuff to see if I have another one. I'll PM you if I find one Weiand also made 3x2 and 2x4 for the 364
Check on the some of the Buick sites and also on AACA site. You may even get lucky on Racing Junk, but not likely. Worst case, I wonder if you could cut open your 2bl intake and put a 4bl pattern on it and just machine a carb pad? I have seen both intakes, the plenums look similar in size.
Don't know where you are but the auto fair in Charlotte is coming up later this mouth and you can find just about any thing there, or some one who might have on.
