Beautiful car. The European design and craftsmanship are something to be desired. Great job with the restoration and thanks for sharing. I'd love to see one of these in person. Just amazing. For the 'what if' crowd I threw this together quick just to see it's custom potential. The C pillar and window openings would pose a difficult task to get the lines right and this example is probably chopped too much. Difficult enough in PS let alone with real steel. Would love to see a master craftsmans example of a traditional custom with something of European origin.
Hey, I've always felt that the late 30's ''deco'' designs are where guys like Westguard & Jimmy Summers & later still Bros. Barris, took their design ques from. If you study early kustoms designs you'll see these lines and build formula (1/3 greenhouse 2/3s body mass) at work. The channeling of the body over the frame & faired in trim & details all came from this era of design. Sadely by 1955, the ''bathtub acid'' had kicked in with the design of kustoms & if two lamps were deemed good, well, four must be an improvement! " Humpty Dumpty was pushed "
Sorry I hate it ,considering it's a one off hand built body by a luxury car maker it's nowhere as nice style wise as a three window 36 Ford in my opinion . I can't put my finger on it but something ain't right with the roof - it don't flow and don't get me started on polished wooden dash boards !!
True , I think the work on it is fabulous but vintage English cars just don't float my boat - now English motorbikes that's a different thing
'kin awesome - there's something about those 1930s European cars that just oozes elegance and pure class. Pity that some here just don't get it....
