Thanks for the input dragrcr50, I do appreciate it.:)

I was laughing before cause as you can see in the pic, this car started out to be a g***er. It just took a different turn at the fork! God I miss having a custom!

That straight axle will be in the next project that's already in the wings!!;)

keith if you want a set of plymouth bumpers, let me know. I can even get them straightened and rechromed for a decent price out here in Austin. Only if you're gonna use them though. haha

Man,the Chevy looks great with the headlights etc. ! I'd be very happy with the car as is.I was surprised how good it looks even with the headlights that "high".I occasionally goof around with photoshop and did this rough pics yesterday. Those are just to give you an idea,I'm not saying this is a must and I'm also aware of the fact that photochoppin' is LOT easier than doing real bodywork and I somehow feel retarded to post these pics but maybe they help you in any way.Forgive me.

    WOW, nice artwork, thank you.
I wish I could get around photoshop like that. It takes me way too long and I'm never happy with it when I'm done. I really appreciate the ideas. I have sooooomany thoughts going through this feable mind of mine, it makes it a lot easier being able to see some of them.
I view the recessed headlights as some what of a "newer" style than what I was going after, but they do look really good. Only time will tell!!
ike I've told Dave, my imagination is limited:eek:, So feel free to do some more photoshop goofing and post your ideas.
    Thanks, LSM

What about putting hte louvered '38 Hood sides on it? they are smoother.

I prefer the 38 Grille/headlights myself. but thats just me.

Looks great, my 37 coupe I was already planning to lower the stock headlight buckets exactly as your mock-up. Love the tailights as well.

    Thanks guys.
Every time I build a car I think it is the best part, not that driving the **** out of them isn't good too, but this build really has me psyched.
The ideas are racing in my mind a mile a minute, and that sure as hell doesn't help trying to get to sleep nights!!

The skirts came off ePay. They fit real good and seem pretty rugged, but I have no idea who built them.

I'm planning on a dark maroon color with no metallic. I saw the color on a roadster at one of this years shows and was able to get the info from the builder.

Thanks again for the suggestions and ideas.:D

I'm glad you like the pics."Newer"...yes,I understand what you're talking about. Here's another one with the headlights like you had them mocked-up.I think it looks really good and definitely adds to the "old" look.I only shaved the hood sides and not because they look bad that way but the lowered headlights don't line up with hood scoop anymore.Moving them down a little bit would be another option.Again, the pic is just to show you what it looks like, nothing more.

    Thanks for another photoshop pic.
Yea, I'll have to do something with those hood sides when I lower the lights. Between the headlights and hood sides, it'll all come down to what I do for a grill and how it all works together.

some times mock up is the worst!!! because it looks like you could jump in and take it for a spin but you cant.. now ya gotta take it all apart again. it would be very hard for me to resist the temptation to just get it running, prime it and hit the road..i am glad you aint like me gramps coz thats what gonna make this a NICE car..

  16. What years did those skirts comme on? And are they chev skirts?
