Hi all, I converted to 12 volt on the 218 Flathead 6 in the 1937 Dodge D5. I installed a 12 volt coil and ballastor. I replaced all the internal parts of the distributor. I get power at the distributor points, and also a spark. I cannot get the spark to travel to the plugs though. Any experience with this ? new plugs, new wires. Thanks much

Bad or shorted rotor? Defective cap? Bad plug wires. Pretty much, if you have a spark at the coil wire, that wire plugs into center of the cap, the spark goes to the center part of the rotor and it distributed to the correct terminal on the cap, and the spark travels through the plug wires to the plug. Do you have a good ground at the plug wire so you know for sure if your getting spark or not at the plug? Gene
