Just purchased a '37 Ford today and was wondering if any body would recommend a a good shop manual . Thanks Rayzor
Nothing on a shop manual but the Early Ford V8 Club (earlyfordv8.org) has an excellent restoration book. Not a "how to" but "what should be there". Charlie Stephens
In addition to the above suggestion, you should own a "Motors Manual" repair book dated before 1955 for repair instructions, a copy of the Ford service bulletins from 1932-37 and a copy from 1938-40.
Then...the Reprint of the little NAPA '37-8 shop manual, sold for cheap as something like "'37-38 Ford repair manual" available at all the Ford parts places. I would suggest next the so-called 1939-48 shop manual, actually a reprint of the excellent 1946 Canadian shop manual, which is generally applicable to everything early V8 once you have the specs on things peculiar to 1937. Repro owners manual for details on lubrication and maintenance.
