I was working on removing the remanence of the original truck dash today. There is a parking brake hand lever bolted at the cowl section and extends up to the top of the dash (inside). The top end was just resting on the back side of the dash panel. Is there a support panel missing? The end of the bracket has 2 threaded bolt holes but nothing to bolt to.

    from Texas .

I believe two bolts to the firewall and it bolts to the lower lip of the dash

  3. I agree with Chrisntx, that's how it is on my '38. Parking brake ratchet ***embly is the same for '37-'38 car and pickup.

When the fire wall was modified , the ***embly may have been reinstalled incorrectly. Or just put in so it didn't get lost.
