37 Zephyr 12 Cyl engine

Got the engine and it is interesting. We are going to clean it up and see what it will need, but it seems to be buildable. Now I need to figure out what to put it in. We are going to fuel inject it. Any body know any hot rod history with this engine?

 

I also know where there is one sitting on a stand at one of my shops.Its all complete.Been on that stand for years now in the shop.Actually forgot about it till I just saw this post.I probably could get it for next to nothin.I am also interested in what could be done with it.

That is the original "Hot Rod Linciln" as stated in the song. Many old modified coupes ran those. Bootleggers swapped out the Flathead V8s for them. They would outrun a Caddy motor. Hear is your ideal setup.





This will run with the best of them.
