38-39 ford truck - Will 40 front end sheetmetal fit?

    Guys -

    Wondering if 40 Ford front sheet metal will fit on a 38-39 truck cab?

    nope. it would be some work to put a 40 front on.
     
  3. I agree with 2-Toned. It would be a major challenge even for the very best fabricator. For starters, you'd need '40-'41 pickup running boards for the RB's to mate up to the fenders, along with major sheet metal surgery where the hood and fenders meet the cowl. Then you'd need to cut the beltline stamping from a '38-'39 truck hood and weld into the '40 hood to make the beltline stamping of the hood match the cowl.

    Like this, this is our shop truck and yeas it is a lot of work:D
