Got the coupe out of the paint shop and just finished putting the fenders, lights, running boards back on. Trying to decide on whether to run yellow wheels, rings and caps or full moons. Im leaning towards the moons

The moons are nice but if you're not adding any contrasting striping to the body, you really need some color somewhere so that beauty doesn't melt into the background.

Sorry but to me it looks like you just took the yellow coupe from your avatar and sprayed it suede black, hell you can even see the yellow on the inside of the door/window frames. Looks like you just want to be on some bandwagon. I'd say I liked it better yellow rather than half assed "low buck" suede black....

Keep the ralley wheels for sure! The moons do nothing for the car.

But I love the new paint!

The yellow was not bad man... Just needed to change up the wheels give it a better stance and give to personal character. What ever you like. Don't let anyone change your ways... old chevs are cool and never have got the recognition they deserve. Suede is cool, needs steel wheels, babe moons, your choice just drive it...

I really dig the suede look. My vote goes with the Moons.

Yeah I liked the yellow too but it was suffering from many miles of road wear and it was time for another change. this is the 4th paint job and its been down to bare metal twice. Only one i have to please with it is me.
Here's one more pic with the caddy tail lights i just installed.

  15. Buy some 49-54 (?) stock Chevy 15-inch wheels. Paint them a dark grey or other complimentary color and run chrome lugnuts with a chrome center or spider caps. Along with an outer trim ring of you want.

The yellow rallies need to be covered up. The moon caps look good, but put a little pinstriping on the car to help with the big black expanse of color.

I agree the inner window garnish needs to be painted black, the yellow really clashes.

The black looks more hot rod than the yellow street rod appearance.

  17. I say send that baby my way, I was looking for one of them before I bought my truck. I'd run the Moons over the ralleys any day but it's your car.

I've gotta agree, those Moons look great on the car, but it's begging for some striping. Beautiful car BTW.

Moons don't do anything for it. I say paint the rallys gloss black and run the caps, but no rings. Go for a dark look with gloss black and graphite striping. Paint the interior moldings gloss black as well.

Yep its pretty plain right now. SInce the car was yellow and the interior still is, I'm thinking about painting flames. Starting out with solid yellow on the front and going into orange flames

I'm typically a big fan of flames, but not in this case. Take a look at my post above, i think it'd be a really good look! :)

It's too "plain" with the moons...there is no contrast there...liven it up a bit...go with bright yellow wheels, small caps or add some yellow pin-striping...you need people to "see" that car...

Thanks for all the ideas. There are many good suggestions. I'll post a pic if it when its done. May be a while and I'm the only one that has to like it.

LOL, I thought he was gonna paint it yellow like the car in his avitar. I think the moons look too plain, so I'd go with the ralleys. Maybe paint them a different color. Red is cleche but would look good.
