'38 Ford Pickup

    What sort of frame mods are needed when running a chevy 350/turbo 400 in a stock 38 frame? How about sources of parts (fenders, running boards, bed parts, etc.)?

    Lets see those 38/39 ford pickups. Here is mine, just picked it up on Sunday...

    Looks like a good starting point.

    Check out Ch***is Engineering for info on the engine/trans swap.

    Basically you need to take the centre out of the x-member to allow
    the trans to slide through and split the wishbone so that it clears the trans-pan.

    The ch***is on the 38 1/2 ton pickups are basically the same as the 35-40 P***enger frames, so there is a heap of information out on the internet and here on the HAMB.
