WOW !!! It looks fantastic .............quickie bed is nice. What the hell is that thing standing next to the sharp truck?????????? LOL!
Nice work!!! It looks great, I can't wait to see it in person. You're an inspiration to all COE project owners. Awesome progress in short amount of time!
Hi Pex. If you aren't going to use that Bed on the truck when you make your Art Deco one, then send this one down to me in Australia ok (grin) Very nice work indeed, you have given most of us the inspiration to keep going with our own projects. Seeya Bill
thanks guys- there will some ongoing sanding and priming as money allows. built a frieght box to cover the engine, installed licence plate light and p*** mirror.
Nice photo's. Cool to see the face of the builder from the truck Have fun driving, and enjoy the attention you get from it.
Well its legal! had to go out to the previous owners farm and get the serial number off the original frame. randy is hyped to come by and see the old grain truck that he owned for 40 plus years. had alot of wows the first trip into town.
WOW is right! Where were the numbers on the frame? Are there supposed to be numbers on the cab somewhere?
top of frame on the drivers side, about 6ft from front. not trusting engine after the trouble i had so i bought a 290hp crate engine from GM. they were having a sale.i'll change it out next week.
Greg, I see you have improved your carpetry skills. It look awsome but you need to do something about the hood ornament.
only because i sort of like you and b-bop i'll take your abuse. donn we'll get to know you soon. to bad i'll have to start our friendship with a jab. and besides i don't look a day over 60 LOL i thought i would stand next to it to show how small it is,i'm 5 11, i'll take a picture of it with my 56 gmc to show the size.
today i swapped out the engine, just about done, turns out the water jacket in the 327 has a crack between 1 and 3 so my old friend is pooched. the new crate engine seems to be of good quality and i'll have it running tomorrow.then i'd like another day of sanding and priming. got to look good for the big adventure to bonneville.
You would "LIKE" another day of sanding and priming? Oh wait, I know what you mean. : ) It's looking great!!!
and as a side note, the owner is a little fragile as well after all the setbacks and b.s. with the engine. test burn this weekend!
Went into the big ****ty for breakfast yesterday and the c.o.e. runs and drives well. i did the interior over the weekend and its good for a backyard build. i'm happy with the results and i'm confident and really looking forward to my vacation and the bonneville experience.
