Saw this one on ebag, it has a good picture of the pedals. I never knew they were that tight! Been thinking of doing a build and thought since it wouldn't see heavy use I could live with the tight quarters. After seeing this pic I don't think I could. I think my legs would cramp in just a few minutes.Thought about moving engine into the bed but don't want that long of a bed. Any of you guys running one with the engine in stock position? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1939...Cars_Trucks&hash=item25804df26c#ht_500wt_1182
Too bad you can't see the gas pedal in that picture. It gets even worse. Mine will have a 302 small block ford in stock location, but with an auto trans.
alternate ideas for interior room- Put the engine under the seats of the cab, run a straight 6 cylinder, use an independent rear end. It may not be strong enough, but maybe you could use fiero parts and mount the engine sideways like in the sbc V8 fiero swap?
Yes, I am looking at the idea of putting engine under seats, I think I can go with an eight foot bed that way.
