My boss asked me to check on this one; weird thing is it's listed under Antiques rather than Cars & Trucks, plus the language is a bit iffy:

"This vehicle was purchased new and has been garaged every day since. There are no dent on the outside and interior is almost like new. The car has a big engine which is not running at this time. Reason for sale is parents death and liquidation of all assets. This sale is by a family member and all necessary paperwork is in hand. The car is on jack stands and tires can be taken off and aired up or tube replaced in order to tow or move. Odometer mileage is 43060."

What do you think? Images don't seem to be borrowed and the price is $18k.

Are they charging to look? Contact them and see if they respond, it’s that easy.

Will check it out; just wondered if somebody's pictures got "borrowed". It's running a flathead with what looks like a homemade four-twos setup:

Finding the 18K would be my problem.

I'd have to believe that the family member who wrote the add just knows what others told them about the car. Looking at it's stable mate I'd say that the owner wasn't into trading cars very often and the story is true.

I think it's legit. Scammers use cheap prices to get people to be inpulsive and throw caution to the wind. 18k seems like realistic, not a give away price.

Send a message. If it replies with something like you have to contact another person to see it or something else odd it is probably a scam. I would be all over that one if it was close to me
