looking for info on installing a 40 style dash in a 39 deluxe, also if it is a easy install where can one be found either new or used. As an option I may consider using a sheet metal fabricated dash like the one supplied by *****in Products or Direct Sheet Metal or even an original 39 dash if one can be found. Any help here with ideas and suggestions would be appreciated. And if anyone has a dash that would work then contact me.
    Thanks, Mike M

I have a 38 dash, needs some work but way more cool than any afterarket dash you can buy. Should almost be a bolt in but not sure. Looked just like the 39 dash I had but bigger louvers in the 39.

  3. A '39 dash is the only one that will work with the '39 windshield regulator. You'd have to sacrifice the roll-out windshield to use a '40 dash. You can use a '37 or '38 dash provided you use a '37-'38 windshield regulator. '37 and '38 regulator has a handle just above the radio speaker grille; '39 regulator has a round knob up on top of the dash. Different regulator for '39 due to change in location of the knob/handle.

This 39 deluxe couple has a fixed windshield not a crank out. The car now has a fabricated sheet metal dash which is an ugly one and want to replace it with an '39 orginal or a '40.

agreed, the *****in dash is just about as ugly as the one in the car at present.
