Its off the trailer and in the shop. The inside is all vacuumed out. Engine removed. Etc, etc etc... Indy, I will break away this weekend and get the front drums for you.

My kind of project!!! Im working on a 39 Deeeeelucks as well. Getting ready to chop in a day or so. Waiting for my nerves to settle down. HAHAHA. Great looking car. Best of luck with it. Here is the concept rendering for my project. It got lost on another thread this past week. Enjoy, Mike
The tip-off is that while it does have 1940 headlight doors, it's still got a tilt-out windshield, wide-five wheels and it lacks vent windows. Sharp car. The '38 to '40 Tudors and their close cousins the '41-'48 Tudors are some of my favorite early Fords and probably in my top-ten all time best looking cars. In some ways I even prefer that body style to the coupes.
I know a guy here in SW Ohio who just picked up a barn-fresh 1940 Tudor sedan. Needs work just like your '39 in this thread, but basically fairly solid. I told him I'd take a couple pics with the dig cam and put it up on the Ford Flathead V8 website. His price was right, and he sounded flexible. I dont expect it to last long....hell, it could even be sold by now. Here's a link for more info for anyone interested. http://www.vanpeltsales.com/FH_web/Carsandparts-for-sale.htm
Indy, got a "to do" list yet? Maybe figure out what needs to be tackled and buy the parts needed to do it, then maybe we can all get together on a Saturday and try to get it along. A shop thrash.
Hell Fish 65 i need the flathead moved out of here or i am going to keep it ;>) also the radiator is just sitting here along with your tires and rims. Lets try and plan a day to move this ASAP. Indy answer your phone you need to get your ass up here and start working on this car because Im not. Crow the jeep gasser has not do touched sense the day you dropped it off. I would love to see that thing on the strip but i don't like seeing it take up space lets get on it or let's get it back to your house. I Hate to be like this but i have two cars sitting on my back porch (tail T & a soon to be lakes roadster) just waiting for me to start on. one being my wifes and if i piss her off by not building her lake's. she will make me stay home after work every day & i would go nuts.
"All that's left is, EVERYTHING!" - Jesse James Ha Ha...LOVE 39 Deluxe cars of any body style...and that one looks pretty solid! (Pay attantion though, folks...he didn't say May of what YEAR!! )
You going to be out there tonight? I can pick up everything but the engine. We can talk about moving the engine while Im there. I bet Saturday morning will work for moving that, or tonight if your game.
In the one pic the rear wheel looks like a smaller bolt pattern. That and the headlamp doors threw me, I didn't spot the other stuff. Nice car, a great start for a project. Mart.
Indy, I have your front brakes in my truck. I will try to drop them off Saturday afternoon. The front wheels are not a matched set and I quickly looked around and couldn't find one to match either.
