The tip-off is that while it does have 1940 headlight doors, it's still got a tilt-out windshield, wide-five wheels and it lacks vent windows.

Sharp car. The '38 to '40 Tudors and their close cousins the '41-'48 Tudors are some of my favorite early Fords and probably in my top-ten all time best looking cars. In some ways I even prefer that body style to the coupes.

I know a guy here in SW Ohio who just picked up a barn-fresh 1940 Tudor sedan. Needs work just like your '39 in this thread, but basically fairly solid. I told him I'd take a couple pics with the dig cam and put it up on the Ford Flathead V8 website. His price was right, and he sounded flexible. I dont expect it to last long....hell, it could even be sold by now. Here's a link for more info for anyone interested.

  14. Indy, got a "to do" list yet? Maybe figure out what needs to be tackled and buy the parts needed to do it, then maybe we can all get together on a Saturday and try to get it along. A shop thrash.

i need the flathead moved out of here or i am going to keep it ;>) also the radiator is just sitting here along with your tires and rims. Let’s try and plan a day to move this ASAP.

the jeep gasser has not do touched sense the day you dropped it off. I would love to see that thing on the strip but i don't like seeing it take up space lets get on it or let's get it back to your house.

I Hate to be like this but i have two cars sitting on my back porch (tail T & a soon to be lakes roadster) just waiting for me to start on. one being my wifes and if i piss her off by not building her lake's. she will make me stay home after work every day & i would go nuts.

In the one pic the rear wheel looks like a smaller bolt pattern. That and the headlamp doors threw me, I didn't spot the other stuff.
Nice car, a great start for a project.

This should have been your first step...

  21. Yeah, it had the sbp in back and the wide 5 in front.

  22. Indy,
I have your front brakes in my truck. I will try to drop them off Saturday afternoon. The front wheels are not a matched set and I quickly looked around and couldn't find one to match either.
