Hot Rods 39 Ford top loader clutch question

    20190903_172225(3).jpg Does this look right to you guys or should the shoulder on the clutch shaft be flush with the transmission case. It's a new clutch shaft from Van Pelts...I wonder if the hole was drilled wrong in it for the pin. It's sticking out about a quarter of an inch and I should sure use the room. The car is an AV8 with a Model A frame.

    No, that is right. Fork is what centers the shaft.
     
  3. Hope you know that's not a 39 Ford shaft your showing us. That's 40 and up.

    Like I said I am adapting it to an AV8. I do know it's a 40 48 linkage. It just works better in my AV8 than the 39 linkage. It's called Hot rodding I think??
     
  5. I understand Hot Rodding as well as Mix-n-Match. Was just making sure you weren't miss informed as to what you had.
