I have a 39 Pontiac Silver Streak Deluxe 25 and I am in search of a viable option to put disc brakes on it. So far I have struck out and I was wondering if anyone here could lend any suggestions.

Try calling Chev of the 40's. You would need to ask about a disc brake conversion kit for a 37-40 chevy master deluxe with independent front suspension. Your Pontiac has a similar front suspension. The issue you are going to have is your wheel bolt pattern 5x5 (if your car still has the original hubs) and the chevy bolt pattern would be 5x4 3/4 with the conversion rotors. (original 39 chevy was 6 lug wheels) Also, the wheel studs and lug nuts on your pontiac driver side are left hand thread (again... if your car has the original hubs/axles.)
