  2. I have used the Hot Heads product a couple times. No attention paid to the bbc pump. Both motors cooled fine. 9.25:1 and 10:1.

The adapters are two chunks of aluminum. Not sure that someone could really screw those up. They may vary ever-so-slightly visually, but that does not matter.

No preference for pump. Buy a brand name pump, and don't look back.

Stay away from the Procomp pumps. Absolute junk! Had nothing but trouble with it and heard from other unfortunate souls the same thing. Went with a new stock Chevy pump and 10 years later it is still performing well.

That is a good point. I should have said a real brand name.

  7. I've done No homework yet but headed the same direction. Mounting the pump is pretty strait forward. What about pulleys? I need to run 2 V belts. Do the GM pump pulley and Chrysler lower pulley just line up?

  8. I used Hot Heads aluminum adapters with an Edelbrock pump for a Big Block Chevy.

Never tried it, but I don't think so.

I have always bought a matched aftermarket set.

For newbies to the hemi...hemi tech index. Start reading! The long BB Chevy W/P fill fit over the OEM 55-58 timing cover.
