I have a 39 Ford Transmission with the 46-48 pickup open drive conversion with driveshaft yoke. Trans was rebuilt years ago by a local shop. I would take the top of to check condition. What's it worth?

$400-1000 depending on the day and buyer and condition. There's a lot of variables. If I was looking for one I'd give $800 for a rebuilt unit.

Thank you. I appreciate it. I was just thinking about it this AM. I had it listed for $575. Not one bite.

If I parted it out: top with choice of truck or swan stick: $275-300
    Open drive parts: $150-200
    Perfect #78 case: $200
Perfect 28 tooth cluster & matching gears: $350-400

I'd come out ahead on it rather than sell it complete. Seems so odd to me.

I could use a spare for my '40... I'm putting a 327 with 4 97's on it in front of an open drive 3 speed...
