Event Coverage 3rd Annual Winter Wipeout Swap Meet

The 3rd annual WinterWipeout Swap Meet will be March 6 in Monte Vista, CO. There will be live music all day, the Outlaw Pinewood Derby Challenge (no rules), and a kick-*** auction at noon with ART and more from HAMBERs and JJ members, as well as other companies and local artists. FAST FRIENDS puts this event on, and it has grown a lot in the last two years. It's indoors, heated, free to the public, and vendor spaces are only $20. Once again, this year you will be able to send in sealded bids for the artwork and other auction items.
All proceeds go to ***ist families of kids with life-threatening conditions in the San Luis Valley of Colorado.

 

BOMONSTER is the man! We just received the first piece of art donated for the auction, and it's awesome! It's ***led "Outlaw Ghost", and is a signed print of a scratchboard piece BOMONSTER did. I'll post pics of auction items a few at a time as they come in so those who want to send in bids can see what's available.

 

We're getting a lot of response for this swap meet....I've had quite a few inquiries about vendor spaces for car-related stuff just today. It looks like this is going to be the best Wipeout yet!

 

Where exactly is it at? How big is it?

 

It's in Monte Vista, Colorado, indoors in a big-*** room at the rodeo grounds. It's not large by some standards....100 vendor spaces, five live bands, a charity auction with HAMB artists and vendors donating items, an Outlaw Pinewood Derby, not exclusively automotive (yet), but we get a crowd of around 5,000 people through the door. It's in farm country in a big mountain valley (the San Luis Valley), about mid-way between Durango and Pueblo on US 160. All proceeds go to familes of kids with life-threatening conditions through a charity called FAST FRIENDS.

It's just two weeks until the Winter Wipeout! Auction items are starting to ac***ulate, and I'll post pics for those who want to send in sealed bids.
