Your best bet, is to drive defensively. Don't ***ume that the guy/gal coming up behind you is actually going to stop at the light your sitting at. When I see cars approaching from the rear, I try to anticipate an "out", so to speak, in case they decide not to stop.

Likewise, when your light changes green, don't ***ume the cross traffic is also going to stop. I can't tell you how many times I have started to accelerate through an intersection, after my side turned green, only to have that inner voice tell me to take a look around before completely taking off. Good thing I listen to myself, big yellow 4x4 Ford ran the light as I'm in the middle of the intersection in my big '64 teal green Impala, with all the cars behind me honking at my *** to move. Needless to say, I probably saved my life, my car, or someone else's. A-hole was on the phone, looking at me funny as to why I was waiting in the middle of the intersection as he ran the light.

    True story. Bad drivers.

if chrysler was running a version of them in the 40's why does no one consider them traditional. no one is saying to drive a brand new car, but a couple of small items can make you a little safer.

Seriously fellas... If you have to sit here and make P***IONATE arguments for the use of a third brake light, you are on the wrong forum.

This is, afterall, a traditional hot rod and custom forum.
