Yeah The guy that did this was partners with my Dad in the farm equipment dealership in the 70's. My Dad pulled out in the 80's but the business stayed open. This is what he started with.

Ummm. Is this the wrong timing cover for the motor? I am thinking the motor is a 59A 1946-48 as it has the 59 on the bell housing and one triangle and 2 round water holes. Shouldn't this have a 2 bolt distributor?

Still looking for an answer in the correct timing cover.

In the meantime, had nothing better to do so I took the Holley apart. I have a rebuild kit for it after I clean it up.

well for what it is worth I got the frame. it is rough, but we will see after I strip it more. I pulled it out as a favor for the woman down the street, so not like I am out anything.

That is a good looking frame....missing the frame horns but it looks like you got some cheater slicks to compensate...
I count it as a score

The tongue mount for the hitch looks to be a kit that bolts on . A lot around here a welded on pieces of scrap metal.

...and a set of wheels I guess... and a chain so there is some value.. LOL I will start hitting some spots with oil and see what I can get off. spindles and everything brake related is shot. so maybe a brake rod spreader bar....if I put frame horns back on it.

Definitely a neat piece that I will try to save. I wonder if you could tow the car with it. I am sure flat towing is probably not advised, but in a breakdown situation...

I sprayed everything I could with blaster(out of Kroil but on order) so hopefully this weekend I can start getting it apart. it has acorn lug nuts so maybe the wheels will come off. I need to gather the rest of the parts may neighbor gave me with the pickup. about 6 rusty model A wheels, steering column, radiator, grill shell and gas tank. Plant to swap the wheels for the model a rims to make a roller....if it rolls. it was hard to tell when I grabbed it because tires are rotted.

a 50/50 mixture of diesel and automatic transmission fluid out of an old Plewis trigger pump oil can is what I use and the money saved buys ice cream....my thoughts...and this is why we aren't all chasing the same gal...

Well I got the back end of the frame up in the air and the wheels wont turn. I will strat braking it down to see it its the brakes locked up or if the rear is shot. Was going to change the gears anyway so just hoping for good axles and housings. Front spindles are hacked up but I have a set of 34's. Do they fit the A axle?

Starting to work through the 16 or so wheels that came with the model a pick-up and wood splitter. I might get some good ones out. Big black tub in the hot sun with water and half a gallon bottle of 911 concentrate. Any that are usable will probably sand blast the good ones

Not sure if I can salvage the Axle, but the wheels are good. Yeah its a cool trailer but wood is rotting off.

Got these "B" parts from 50 miles away so still staying "Local". So at this point it looks like a B drivetrain since I had a spare motor. Of course that has me rethinking whether to use the A frame.
