I just picked up an old Edelbrock 3x2 for my rebuilt 365 caddy mill from sloppyseconds(in the works) mow I knOw this calls for the 94's but what is the best way to run these ? Dumpers, progressive and what jetting etc should they be at for the best performance? For what I've read 3- 94's should be somewhere around 460cfm, what was the cfm for the caddy's original carb ?

I don't know the Cad cfm, but I think I remember 2-4's stock on them.

The Eldo came with a 2-4 setup back then and in '58 they went with the 3x2.

My dad has 3x2 on his 57 Caddy with a 365. He's using 48's, not sure of the jetting

The CFM for the original carbs was not published.

Ballpark guesstimate would be 500 CFM for the original single 4 and the dual 4's were each approximately 400 CFM.

If you are going to run these for the "look", run them with solid linkage. Performance will suffer over using the original single four.

this is my best guess based on my knowldege of the factory 2 x 4. run them as dumpers. the 2 x 4 was designed to be run as such, not progressive. the original carbs on it were oddballs--one was like a 490 and the other like a 505 or something wierd like that. resto guys will pay big for orginal 2 x 4 carbs due to the specific confirguration.

hope that helps--let me know how it works--have the same intake on the shelf awaiting install in my delivery.

58- 59- 60 could get 3 x 2 s only difference was the 58 had some beads rolled into the top or the air cleaner , think the rest of the parts are the same dont quote me on that lol
