If it is "eye candy" you are after, then "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder"; in other words, what do YOU prefer?

As far as performance is concerned, there is no question; 2x4 all the way.

If you go 3x2, ORIGINAL Rochester genuine tripower carbs are the most expensive initially; and LEAST EXPENSIVE if your time is worth anything at all! Find a used SET, and rebuild them.

If you go 2x4, solid linkage gives the best street driveability. Progressive linkages gives you the ability to run carbs that are too large for the street, but just right for racing.

After rereading the entire thread, one other comment:

Several have mentioned that dual quads are easier to "dial in" than tripower.

I would suggest that depends on your choice of carburetors PLUS the state of tune of your engine.

If your 350 is not radical in camshaft selection; then tuning tripower is quite easy; you simply find a set of Oldsmobile J-2 carbs, rebuild them to 348 jetting calibration, a manifold to fit the footprint, and use aftermarket Pontiac manual linkage. Dial in is now complete.

The "dial in" of any single carb or multiple carburetor system is best done BEFORE the carbs are purchased!
