the last 4 mercs i have cut, have all been 49's. i hope the next one will be a 51 not that im complaining i love cutting them all!! maybe i should get my *** in gear and cut one of my own but the only cutting im doin is rebar lately... thought i would share a few pics of the last one ive been working on for the last few months.
Talked to BadBob Tues, and he said you could do my 52 Hardtop....I know its not a Merc..but it will at least give you a break!
Matt loves a challenge and would probably love to give it a go. His skills are amazing. The tough thing is that he's got so many things going on all at once. Really looks good,Matt. Fernando will be speachless...
ya ive been plugging away on the foundation laying rebar every night, the moredoor hasn't been touched in a week or so since the grinder punched me in the face. i just want my concrete! that damn thing has almost 3 tons of rebar in it... im going to have to finish a merc to sell just to finish it!
your merc looks killer, really cool lines ....i don't wanna offer you a 51 merc, finish the garage first..for some strange reasons there are quite a few 51 mercs around here, many more than 49/50...no idea why! keep up the good work...
beautiful work,,,,,how much time does it take you to cut one of them up?.....man, that car sits low,,,,,,,i usually dont like them that low, but that car looks damn cool...
Way too kool!! I didn't know that **** Dean was on the HAMB? LOL! Keep up the good work. Happy Trails, Mick
It’s Always good to see your work in progress and very helpful to many here on the HAMB. Thanks for sharing matt...
thanks everybody,ya its on a olds ch***is so tire clearance is close even with the small tires. the plates are personal ones and then somebody made the cl***ic ones. legal probably not but i just might have to do the same!!
slddnmatt, great chop...do you have photos of the other three? Also what is the date of the "big pour", are you doing it yourself (friends/neighbors or company) If so I can find some rubber boots and go play in the mud too. Are you setting poles in those 12 holes around the edge, or are those for anchor plates/bolts? give me a shout. ___trout P.S. now's the time to consider an Oil Pit ha ha!
ya i have some pics i just have to post them, ill dig them up and throw them on here. the first 49 i cut was a botched chop and had to do some fixing, its been at the paint shop for awhile now it should be coming back pretty soon to finish it up, im anxious to see it after its paint job. fernando have any ideas on a color????
Very nice... what kind taillights are these if I might ask? http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/attachment.php?attachmentid=421504&d=1204866598
Nice work. I like the using the 50 rear window in the 51's. No matter what you do with the 51 window, that point in the lower corner looks a little akward. Looks like you'll have a nice size shop going up soon. Good luck. One of all-time favorites, and still the rear window looks out of place...
here are a couple pics of the other 49's trashed and hammered the first one was the botched chop, 2nd is Bad bobs, and the third is one i still have at the shop
Nice chunk of work my friend. That botched top can't be too bad, it looks good in the picture. Well when you pouring the slab for you shop? I was serious about helping....and that goes for anyone that I offer help to.... I'm no lazy-***, bigmouth. You better pour that mud before that rain comes back. Trout Keep up the good work... Fernando sould be stoked!!!
