Folks Of Interest 4 Awards for Andy....

Andy cleaned up.
Took Peoples choice...Kids choice...I forget the other but the LAST one says it all.

Youngest DRIVER Award.

Andy drove his AV8 some 10 miles around Carbonear and the surrounding area this morning...with the blessing of the local Council etc.
Had her up to 60 Kph at some points and emptied the small temporary gas tank we had mounted! Just made it back to the show.
Andy and Chris said she drove like a dream.

The car club that held the show evem made him an honorary member...complete with club jacket!!!!

Too cool.

And here is the AV8 driving into the trailer for the trip home. Not being licenced and inspected sucks...but that will change for the little A soon!

How the hell did my ugly head get in the picture with that beautiful car?

Andys a stood out like a flashlite in the dark. Easy to see it cleaning up in the award dept. Now for the honorary member..........kool, they know a good thing when they see it. No if Chris gets off his a$$ and gets the car inspected we can bolt on the "hot030" license plate.

Did i ever mention i hate rain.............Seems Andy dont mind it at all!!!!

Too cool. I'm jealous as all get out - here Andy is able to drive his car and I've got 2 projects on stands in the garage!

Wow, those dorsal fins are awesome - congrats Andy, you trophy hound!

A fantastic achievement by all involved and congratulations on making the deadline. What a great day for Andy and what a great day for the HAMB.

 

They had an absolute ball at the party last night!
It cleared up a bit today and a lot more cars showed up but the show was still way down from what it should have been. Andy would have still cleaned up though!

Chris took a full 1/4" off the hides of his truck doing a burnout...the smoke would remind you of an old Locomotive hauling into the station if you get my drift!

As soon as the show was over it started to pour! I drove the 48 home for Chris...thank the Lord for Rain X...

 

Congrats to Andy and all who were involved in this build ! Just goes to prove the power of the HAMB !

all out one of the coolest things I have ever seen. the car is spot on and all those involved have shown us all what the hot rod spirit is all about.

There's a lot of heart and soul in that hot rod. It will always be a winner.

 

I can't tell you how much this moved me! The HAMB pulls together to make a kids dreams come true. We all get to watch the progress as it unfolds. So many guys pitchin in to make it happen. It finally fires up! Then Andy gets to drive it into a show!!!! It's a very emotional conclusion! I'm just amazed...

I hope you did a burnout,Andy! HA HA HA!!!! My son would have done donuts in the mud!!!
