Hot Rods 4 banger distributor

Got my Model A with a 181 Mercruiser L4 and T5 on the street yesterday. It's got stock dist. with a Petronix kit. I didn't like it, and now it wont fire. Anyone know of a good replacement. Mallory has one for a 153, will it work in my motor? Thanks, Matt

 

I do believe it will. I plugged a Mallory into an old boat with the 3.0L once. Think it was the unilite.

 

153 & 181 use the same dist. Put points back in IT !!

 

Send it to me and we can fix your old unit, it has the correct advance etc.
