Looking for suggestions on a good carb for my current setup. I have a rebuilt stock '57 y-block with a ECZ-9425-B intake and electronic distributor. I'm looking for a 400-500 cfm carb, with electric choke, and prefer Edelbrock. Would the Edelbrock 1403 work? Any suggestions on an air cleaner that will fit and clear the '57 country sedan hood?

Maybe a 4100 (NECF 4100) or a clone, like these,
Summit Racing™ M2008 . 4100's are stout Ford carbs. I hear the clone is good too. Maybe some of the changes are for the better. You might be able to get Nick at NECF to find you a period correct 4100 core and keep it old Ford. Mike
