Are they the same? Friend is having trouble with his 9N tractor. The rotors he's getting are coming off. I have a few V8 rotors. But, we don't know for sure if they'll work.

I can't answer your question, but on my 8n, I get all of my parts from the Ford Tractor dealer. The generic Tractor Supply type places sell low quality stuff. Genuine Ford and never another problem.

Edited: 8n tractors used 2 different distributors, one front mount with a crab cap and one side mount. You will need to specify which.

His has the crab style. My V8 dizzies are the side mount.

Put a little silicone in the rotor, slide it on, and let sit overnight.

Ancient NAPA catalog: Tractor FA-59 rotor, '39-47 tractor, different number and different appearance from V8, does not look like good prospect for modification even.
See if NAPA still has..."coming off" sounds like bad repro.
