What are your thoughts on this, I have never really been into the sedan to truck, tudor to tub, coupe to roadster etc. modifications. I think it kinda ruins the car. So how about a 4 door to a tub done with a roadster cowl? A friend of mine is thinking about it, I'm not so sure but I wanted to get some other opinions for him. thanks guys
I think it could work. how about keeping the roll up windows and making a 4 dr convert with a removable center post like the 35-40 had. would allow you to keep the top of the doors with less modification and give the look as if Henry had done it from the factory, early protoype I have been thinking if I found a cheap 4 dr body i would go this route
Look at my avatar. What I did was a 27 two door sedan cut behind doors and matched up to roadster cowl.Filled wheel wells .Had to pull in sides a bit but no big deal at all.Fabbed up new floor etc.I started out with three pieces of sedan and a cowl.Any sheet metal guy can do it.If you want I can send you a ton of build pics. This was my first ground up car.A little too low,but thats how I learned.Much more room than a T Bucket.Good luck and let me know about pics Jim F
I did some searching earlier, and the tudors can be done right if you roll the rear to match the curve of the body line.
