The shoebox is stunning. The mild chop is nice. I'd like to see a side profile featuring the back of the car. Ford ended the drip rail abruptly on these 4 door cars. Also the C pillar seemed wide and out of proportion. Did the torch man clean that act up?
Looks like Econoline van/truck headlight bezels trimmed into the original grille. Nice job done, looks good.
My 52 Buick and my current project - 49 Hudson the old hudsons kinda looked factory choped. Helps a 4dr . For me i like 4dr up to 1958 and anything newer i like 2dr.
My 37 Lincoln Zephyr project will done soon. More doors isn't always bad. Do what you want. At the end of the day it is your car. Great thread.
Ford did not offer a Fourdoor Victoria Convertible Sedan in 33 , nor did the Sedans have a Decklid , only storage was behind the rear seat ( unless you added a big box on the back ) so it is a custom
Had this cool little tempest for a while, as a daily. She had 14000 original miles, on her 326 v8. She was going to appear in Rod And Custom young guns, and they killed it. I was in my 20s
The way I see it, at this age, they're all old cars, no matter the number of doors. They ain't making any more of 'em, so we need to save as many as possible. I'd rather see a ratty 4 door going down the road, than go to s****. And anything old, is way cooler than anything new.
My 52 Special 41D, she’s nowhere near finished but mild custom is the way the project is gonna go. Slightly inspired by Yarils old 51 2door
Dig the moredoors. The Mild-One Chevy from my youth. 235, dual exhaust, 3 on the tree. Many adventures.
I was looking for almost this exact car when I found it. faded green paint and everything.... as an added bonus it had a 350 and automatic, it also had all the guards and the rare expensive deluxe steering wheel. I had friend warn me to not put any money in it because it is a 4 door. his expression and demeanor told me he thought I was some sort of fool when it came to old cars.. I put disc brakes on it, a stereo, a $300.00 radiator and a $400.00 exhaust plus whatever the Sanderson headers cost and when I sold it I got more than I had in it. in todays market it would be worth over double what I originally paid. people seem stuck in the 70's when this was a $600.00 car and a coupe was $800.00
