4 door to convertable??

I cut the roof off of a 62 Sedan de Ville $50.00 car in the 70's. When you made a left, the right hand doors would open and freak out the p***engers. We learned real quick not to grab at the doors and just let things happen. I figured out early how to come out of the turn gentle like so the doors wouldnt slam. I was 19, and cool.
