I need a clue! Looking for an air cleaner/velocity stack for a 4 jet. Problem is it is about 4 in in diameter and most cleaners/stacks are 5+ inch. dont want to run a stock one so need some advice

air cleaners used to come with a 4" reducer/adapter ring. usually plastic. try to find one with it or make one on a lathe.

With more time than wisdom, I have made donuts from 10 Ga. and brased them to the required airfilter bottom. A better way is to ask the guy at the swapmeet selling air filters if he has any of the old plastic adapters. They fit the small carb neck and adapted the larger airfilters. I also made on from a piece of plastic. Glued it to the filter bottom. [IMG]

Nice cleaner, and some good ideas, i figured i would look though the yards for some ideas. I wasnt sure on the base if adapters were neeeded or 4" were made so if you want to part with the base through me a number.
