IMG_2889.JPG IMG_2890.JPG Where can we get nice hot rod style wheels for the 4x4.5 bolt pattern? My Ranchero is original and I don't want to change drivetrain yet?

I found these wheels. Has anyone seen these 14x7 Cragar Wheels? I want to put them on my Ranchero! They are 4x100 and rated at 965lbs. They have safety beads and are for golf carts! Why can't they make these for cars!

I think there's already a thread on 4 lugs cool wheels. Might give that a shot.

Not much available for the falcon/early stang 4 bolts. You can try and find a set of Cragars or slots. I have a set of slots but, you're a ways away lol. I'm going mild custom with my falcon and don't feel slots fit the theme.

  4. Well, if they're rated at 965 lbs each, that's more than adequate for a Falcon Ranchero. Even loaded, you'll have a tough time getting over 3000 lbs total weight. Or are they specifically noted as not for automotive use? Might be worth a call to Cragar...

IMG_2865.JPG I looked at the load rating on Torq Thrusts and they are 1400 lbs and weigh 17 lbs each. I think with the lightweight of the Ranchero it may be okay. I ordered one to see.

If you like those Cragar wheels I would call them and ask about auto use. The static load factor may not be the problem, they may not be able to take the side loading of a Ranchero in a 70 MPH curve

Two things, 1) very true about the curve load! 2) A stock Ranchero can do 70MPH? Lol

I'm going to try the adapters that turn a 4 lug into a 5 lug so I'll have more choices. I'll let you know if they work.

  10. If you look around there were lots of wheels made for the 4 lug app and they usually go pretty cheap because no one wants them ( no offense intended). Crager and American both made a 4 spoke wheel and other companies copied them, slots were also popular on the little Fords (long before the custom van craze) they can be found in steel and aluminum. Then there is always chrome reverse wheels or you can take your stock wheels and get them chrome powder coated.

Lots of options for the old Falcon pickup.
